Being labelled as "crazy" can be detrimental, but it also has its benefits. For example, you can't believe anything a "crazy" person says. They're crazy. So, if a so-called crazy person starts sharing true secrets with the world, there is plausible deniability. The schizophrenic is not a reliable witness. This book was born not just from the idea that others may benefit from my personal experiences, but to tell a story about the disconcerting fall into insanity through a series of interconnected poems that could also work as stand alone pieces. The intended effect is not just entertainment and education but, primarily, cognitive dissonance.
